Grant Acoustics is an independent noise consultancy offering a personal service to clients with a need to gain planning permission for their development of choice.

With experience in Environmental Acoustics since 1997, Rachel Grant, Principal Consultant, started her own consultancy in 2010 and is a Corporate Member of the Institute of Acoustics, holding a Diploma of Higher Education in Environmental Monitoring and Protection. Rachel previously held the position of Senior Acoustic Consultant and has been a team leader training graduate consultants in the area of her expertise for previous employers and attending as expert witness at Hearings and Public Inquiries

Grant Acoustics pride themselves on excellent communication and liaison between Client and Local Authority with regards to noise and vibration issues. This will ensure that all noise concerns and planning conditions are discharged to the required standards from the outset. 

Rachel's experience includes petrol filling station redevelopments to assess the impact of forecourt activities as well as plant noise affecting closest residential developments, large and small scale residential developments adjacent to difficult noisy sites, construction site noise impact on noise sensitive receptors
